GOODBYE SEMARANG

I can’t believe I’ve done with college. I don’t know how to feel about it, and it’s truly overwhelming. As I was walking onto the stage at Krakatau Ballroom on 24th May to receive my degree certificate. I was feeling a huge mixture of emotions. I was hugely proud and happy to be graduating, with a best graduate tittle but sad that my four years at the university had come to an end. The university has been one of best moment on my journey, one that I am so pleased I had the confidence to do (I can feel tears in my eyes as I write this). There is no exaggeration when I say the past four years have been life changing. Since arriving in Semarang I have tried so many things that I never thought I’d do.

I chose the STIE Totalwin Semarang because it is far enough from home to provide delicious independence from my family, but close enough that two hours flight will shoot me straight into my hometown to stock up on Mom-hugs, and luggage of foods. These are the things I’ll miss most about in Semarang: Living in a new city is one. I had spent the previous 18 years of my life living in west of Indonesia and I had never been to Semarang in my life. So from day one I was experiencing something new. I have now fallen in love with the place and I already really miss it.

Travelling and Food Hunting. Without a doubt, Semarang is the most culinary city for me personally. Here food is really tasty for my tongue *even it got a lil bit too sweet sometimes*. The most important one, here food is also quite cheap if we compared to other big cities in Indonesia. Then, TRAVELLING! Yuhuu.. I did a lot here! You can feel how much I love travelling with knowing I've visited 16 cities around here. Especially with my travelling and food hunting partner, Ko Hendy. I'll definitely miss how we explored new cities together, hanging out in a coffee shop or cafe, take a lot of good photos and also try a lot of delicious food. Don't forget to mention that catching Pokemon in this city is one of my daily activities as well.

My college life. Well this is the main reason and has to be the thing that I'll miss. Coming here to study for about four years, but still won't get enough of it. Accounting can say as my most receivable major currently which I studied it with full of joy. Out of the knowledge that I'd received, it also the good vibes between me and my lecturers. They are really caring, good and crazy as well *peace*. I get close with some lecturers, like Pak Roby Jatmiko (Who always kidnapped me to the mall, giving me advice, but he is quite a petty person cause he never treats me once! hahaha), Bu Dhian Andanarini (Who always teasing me a lot, She's caring, lovely but sometimes scarring! One of the few lecturers that I can share everything.), Bu Mirna Dyah P (My mother in Semarang who always asking 'how are you?' 'healthy?' This words is really suited if it is said by her. The most beautiful and lovable lecturer), Pak Prihasantyo (My sport partner, we always play badminton together every week, he's so kind, sometime treating us, and take us as a buddy not student.), Bu Sari Rahmadhani (My supervisor, She's the one that I need to say THANK YOU about all successful of my entire thesis. She believes in me and giving me space without controlling me.) Bu Rida (My 'genk' who always shared everything to me as well as me. Always asking my health, told me to not skipping the meal.) The university pays them so little that it might as well be called volunteering, but they don’t do it for the money. I'm really glad that I can get those lecturers. I really do. Truly, I thank every single of them.

My Organization Activities. Becoming volunteer, a lot of sleepless days we had, arguments, event planning, fund raising, collaboration, language classes, dance training, drama musical performing, a lot of things that I'd never do before, I did here. I need to assume that I grew a lot in this period of time. Let me learn something new, handle, and problem solving. Me proud of myself a bit. My squad. Eight of the members of SE squads which we are fighting for our study together, Juna who always becoming my number one fan, Ricky who always argue with me (but we do care), Rere who always sticks with me, Lita who always becoming my bully subject, Rendy who always asking for help, Icha who always keep me up in thesis, Dyah who always listen to my deep story and Puji who always so polite and never giving a bad face to me. Glad to have a positive squad like you guys! Will definitely miss every single of you and looking forward to our next journey two years later! My friend and classmate. Anastasia Anisa, my dearest friend in whom I met in Semarang (even she's not in Semarang anymore), Khoirunissa, my friend from another city (who I also wrote in my previous blog), Kelvin Stefanus, my first friend in Semarang. Jen bab and prila my other close friend! and my AKATSI, every single person in my class that we had so much fun together, studying together, getting punished together, got a good or bad review from the lecturers together, company visit and holiday together to Bandung, always lose on every single game in sports together hahaha You all created good memories for me personally. I hope we all can gather or even reunion someday.

My junior, Eka, Lusi, Kalim, Efin, Yuni, Tizar, Siska, Rega, Velny etc. (*too many persons that I won't able to mention one by one.) for always support me, respect me, learn together. You guys are the best Junior ever. I even received special handmade gifts from you guys, touching! My past organization's member, Desi, Siti, Yugi, Budiman, Novi, Tara, etc (*) who we made it a lot of great and memorable events and learn how to build and hold a organization. Proud of you guys. Hoping that we can make another event in the futures as well and my landlord Bu Nur who always taking good of me as her own son, told me everything is easier than I thought and always understanding us as a comer, as well as my past landlord Mama Endang (I really call her Mama Endang hahaha) who always smile to me, sharing about Semarang, chit chat a lot, keep healthy and I already started to miss your Ayam goreng, Ayam bakar and nasi goreng! NB: Pic will be updated ASAP!
