Hello! I’m Santo Wijaya Ong, or simply SWO, and I’m here to share my journey with you. Born in Indonesia in 1994, I grew up with a deep love for languages, travel, and helping others. I speak five languages—Indonesian, English, Mandarin, Malay, and Japanese—along with several dialects, including Hainanese, Hokkien, Teochew, Cantonese, and Javanese. Language has always been a bridge for me to connect with different cultures, which has played a huge part in my life’s mission.
I currently live in Japan, where I’m following my dreams while continuing to learn, grow, and share my experiences with my audience. But my journey didn’t start here. It started in Indonesia, where I was the third of four siblings. My love for creating content, music, photography, and volunteer work began there. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of traveling to more than 15 cities in Indonesia and 8 countries in Southeast Asia, each place adding new inspiration to my life.
Along the way, I’ve kept my passion for volunteering alive, serving as a volunteer for over seven years. Volunteering isn’t just about helping others—it’s about feeling the connection and making a difference in someone’s life. There’s no greater joy than seeing the smiles of people whose lives you've touched. This experience has inspired me to combine my love for travel, service, and personal growth into something bigger.
It was this desire to share my journey with the world that led me to create my YouTube channel. I want to use my platform not only to showcase my life but also to inspire others to chase their dreams, no matter where they start from. From humble beginnings to now living in Japan, I believe that resilience, determination, and the willingness to embrace change are key to achieving anything.
Through my social media, I’ve been able to connect with a growing community of over 10k followers on Instagram, where I share stories about perseverance, following one’s dreams, and staying humble while pursuing greatness. Whether it’s a new travel adventure, a challenge I’ve overcome, or a lesson I’ve learned, I hope that my content encourages others to keep going, even when the road gets tough.
The name “SWO” is a tribute to my father, who gave me the initials, but it’s also a reminder to myself and to others to Share With Others. Whether it's sharing knowledge, experiences, or kindness, I believe we all have something to give, and the more we share, the more we all grow.
I’m here to tell you that it’s okay to dream big and start small. Whatever you’re passionate about, don’t give up. Keep working, keep learning, and never be afraid to help those around you along the way. We all have a part to play in this world, and together, we can make it better.
