It was definitely an upside down day! Why? I must end my volunteer member position in my very first volunteer organization that I had joined. Yes. The one and only Peer Educator Kompas. Who knows better than me about this? I have joined PE kompas since October 2013 when I still in the first semester of college. Honestly, I join this organization because I know this organization contains fun people in there even I personally love doing social. But Kompas it just an Organization which called every member as volunteer whose discussion only about Reproduction Health for Teenagers.
Well... it just too far with the social things that I wanted to do. Social things in my mind are working in Nursery Home, Orphanage, take care of street kids and even cleaning up some place for good. But since I joined it already, I must keep myself inside of it. Basically, Kompas were one of the thirteen Organization from each University who gathered in PKBI to learn what Reproduction Health is it and share to friends around us. That's why it called as PEER. I'm in Event Organizer since the first day of joined and create a lot of events which discuss Reproduction Health till 10th November 2014. Stepping in second years, I was chosen and become a Leader in Kompas. Starting this, I arrange all of the Kompas Schedule and Program to the real 'Compass' which head in 4 main points. The first one is Reproduction Health (this one is the most important one and as a basic of Kompas), the second one is Social, which is my main program. Helping needed institutes like Orphanage, Nursing home or even other Non-profit social communities. The third one is Education which our main point is helping the street kids to study. and the last but not least, Environment which we cared about global warming, the cleanness of the place to create a better world. 1 Year become a member, and 2 years become the leader. A lot of Experiences, fun, and teamwork that I got in this 3 years is priceless. You don't know how crazy we are when we prepare an event. You don't know how panic we are when we facing our own problems. You don't know how angry we are to settle the nasty comment of the haters outside. You even don't know how cool we when we gathering together. It wasn't a perfect and flawless organization. We do have a lot of lack in us. But it just a great experience with people all around Indonesia and sitting down to created something we thought was GOOD and we called all that people as FAMILY in here. The Tears that we shed wasn't fake. The Sweat that we dropped wasn't waste. The joy that we created won't be forgotten. Personally, thanks to Peer Educator Kompas for this such wonderful stories that you write in my life. Thanks to the TM4 member for the hard work and believe to me. Thanks to TM5 and TM6 for the surprises, support, love, and care. It's definitely something precious. Here I hope all the best for every single of you. It's started my journey as a volunteer, but leaving Kompas doesn't mean that I'm no longer volunteer. Now, I'll be more focus on my own volunteer organization that I created with some of TM4 member and we do have more program coming ahead soon. Once started, never stop. #SWO
